About the Role

Oversee and support a team of remote workers across departments including marketing, data entry, customer support, and finance administration. You will manage day-to-day operations for the remote workforce, process salary approvals, review expense requests, handle resource needs, and ensure every remote team member has what they need to succeed. This is a people-first leadership role for someone who thrives in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a team of 8–15 remote employees across multiple departments
  • Review and approve timesheets, salary adjustment requests, and employee expense submissions
  • Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins and team meetings via video conferencing
  • Onboard new remote hires and manage offboarding procedures for departing team members
  • Maintain team performance records and escalate issues to HR leadership as needed
  • Coordinate equipment, software, and resource needs for remote staff
  • Ensure team adherence to company policies, remote work guidelines, and code of conduct
  • Compile weekly team activity and productivity reports for senior management

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in team leadership, people management, HR, or operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for a remote-first environment
  • Comfort managing a geographically distributed team across different time zones
  • Proficiency in collaboration and project management tools (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Asana, or similar)
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated home office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Prior experience supervising remote or distributed teams
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (BambooHR, Workday, or similar)
  • Background in payroll coordination, finance operations, or HR administration
